Fasting Feasting

Through details about the daily rituals of meals, the lives of two families, in India and America, are revealed. Part one focuses on the blighted life of Uma, a prisoner of her Indian family's conventions; part two deals with the experiences of her brother Arun among well-to-do New England suburbanites. 1999.
