National Center for Education Evaluation and Regional Assistance

(NCEE), which is part of the Institute of Education Sciences within the Dept of Education, conducts studies that assess the impact of education programs on academic achievement, particularly in the areas of reading, mathematics, and science. NCEE also reviews selected evaluation work supported by others outside the department to assess the quality of studies and the significance of such evaluations for improving education. Contacts
