An incident fighting whalers had left environmentalist Helen Hope paralyzed and her husband, Fred, in prison. But these days Fred runs a salvage company turned over to him by his uncle Ernie, who raised him. Now Fred's life is torn apart again when long-time pacifist Ernie is arrested by the Irish for smuggling arms, and Hugo, Helen's stepbrother and Fred's partner, charters one of their boats to a whaler!
