The Concert

Kadare, an exile from Albania now living in France, looks at Chinese-Albanian relations during the 1970s. His story centers around Silva Dibra and her brother Arian, who, after refusing to follow orders to surround a Communist Party committee, was dismissed from the army and has disappeared. The story culminates in a revelation made by Mao Zedong at a concert in China. 1994.
